When it comes to Medicare, we all have questions. Who’s eligible? What does it cover? When can I enroll? At The Tanna Group, we understand that the path to Medicare can seem tangled with questions and uncertainties. That’s why we’re dedicated to clearing the fog and providing you with straightforward, easy-to-understand answers.

What Is Medicare?

Medicare is a federal health insurance program designed primarily for people aged 65 and older. It also serves individuals under 65 with certain disabilities and people of any age with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). It’s a program that helps with many health care costs but doesn’t cover all medical expenses or the cost of most long-term care.

Who’s Eligible for Medicare?

Eligibility for Medicare typically begins at age 65. However, if you are under 65, you might qualify due to disability or other special conditions. The key to understanding Medicare eligibility lies in knowing the specifics of your situation and how they align with Medicare’s guidelines.

When Can I Enroll in Medicare?

The Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) for Medicare starts three months before you turn 65 and ends three months after the month you turn 65, giving you a seven-month window to sign up. If you miss this period, don’t worry. There are General Enrollment and Special Enrollment Periods available, too.

At The Tanna Group, we know that navigating these questions is just the beginning of your Medicare journey. Our mission is to guide you every step of the way—from unraveling the complexities of enrollment to helping you understand the full scope of your coverage options.

We believe that with the right information, everyone can make decisions about Medicare with confidence and clarity. So, if you’re pondering your next steps or are ready to dive into the details, we’re here to light the way. Because when it comes to your health, you deserve to feel as secure and as informed as possible.
